Science, Science and more Science

It has been such a busy half-term in the Science Lab with every class visiting at least once. With so many topics going on in classrooms the Science has been messy and of course fun but with lots of learning.

Year 5 have been finding out about space and they have investigated why craters on the moon are all different sizes.

Year 4 found out how to survive in the Arctic. Of course they would need to drink but all the water would be solid ice so what temperature would ice melt at? More importantly what about their chocolate?

Year 3 have been looking underground and finding out about different rocks and about how fossils are made. They even made their own minion fossils

Year 2 have been travelling but didn’t want to get wet so we tested lots of materials to see which would keep us the driest. Umbrella designers of the future….

As well as all the work going on in the lab we have had samples of moon rocks in school for the children to see. It has been a very exciting time.
